Groendyke Finishes 2nd

in NTTC Safety Contest

ENID, Okla. (Oct. 1, 2020) - Groendyke Transport finished second in the 40-90 million-mile class of the NTTC North American Safety Contest. Normally announced in the spring, NTTC released the final results of the competition last week during a virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This award extends an outstanding streak for Groendyke Transport. Over the past four years, Groendyke has finished either first or second in its mileage class, beginning with our NTTC North American Safety Champion Award for safety efforts in 2016. The full list is as follows:

  • 2016, North American Safety Champion Award
  • 2017, 2nd Place in mileage class
  • 2018, North American Safety Champion Award
  • 2019, 2nd Place in mileage class

Most carriers consider it an amazing feat to be in the running once for an NTTC North American Safety Award, making this trend all the more impressive. It’s a reflection of Groendyke's employees' commitment to safety every day. And it’s not just the NTTC that has taken notice. For safety efforts in 2019, Groendyke Transport has also won the following state awards:

  • 1st Place, Texas Trucking Association, Local 5-10 million-mile class
  • 1st Place, Florida Trucking Association, Bulk/Other under 10-million-mile division
  • 1st Place, Louisiana Motor Transport Association, 1-3 million-mile division
  • 1st Place, Kansas Motor Carriers Association, Tank Truck Division
  • 2nd Place, Oklahoma Trucking Association, Miscellaneous over 5 million-mile category
  • 3rd Place, Colorado Motor Carriers Association, Tank Truck Division

All these awards validate the efforts each and every one of our employees make toward keeping our highways, communities and workplaces safe.
