Discovery Channel Program Features Groendyke Recruiting Veterans

ENID, OK (November 5, 2013)— On November 11, 2013, Profile Series Productions educational television, hosted by Larry King, will feature a special celebrating Groendyke Transport and the special bond we share with our United States Veterans. The men and women who proudly serve our country often times find a lifelong home at Groendyke. Their attention to detail, composure under pressure, and innate sense of leadership reflect the Groendyke mission of providing services that continue to make America the world’s preeminent economy, and land of the free.

Three veterans from our Company will have an opportunity to share their stories. Mario Luna, our Angleton Terminal Manager, proudly served for 22 years in the Army. Justin Shoemaker, Assistant Terminal Manager for Fort Worth, served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, and Chicago driver, Michael Gersch, served 28 years in the National Guard. Through these servicemen’s stories, Groendyke will highlight the importance of helping returning veterans find lasting careers. Currently, over 20% of our workforce is composed of veterans. We are honored and proud of the many heroes who have chosen Groendyke.

The episode will air on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 7:00 a.m. EST and PST. Don’t have a DVR? After the special airs, Groendyke will also feature the video on Groendyke.com, and a complimentary DVD copy will be provided to every employee.
